Privacy Policy

Who we are

Virka is a personal performance intelligence platform built and operated by Vladimir Rusev, based in Sofia, Bulgaria. You can reach us at vladimir@rusev.co.

What data we collect

Virka collects the following data to provide its coaching service:

• Google account information — your name, email address, and profile photo, used to identify your account.
• Google Calendar data — your calendar events for today and tomorrow, used to provide scheduling-aware coaching suggestions.
• Oura Ring biometric data — readiness, sleep, HRV, heart rate, stress, activity, and resilience scores, used to generate your morning briefing.
• Journal entries — text you write in the Virka journal, used to personalise your briefing and coaching.
• Profile data — your chronotype, DISC type, health context, and goals, collected during onboarding.

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the Virka coaching service. Specifically:

• To generate your personalised morning briefing
• To power the Virka chat with relevant context about your health and schedule
• To reflect your journal entries back in coaching language
• To improve the relevance of suggestions over time

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except the services required to operate Virka (listed below).

Third-party services

Virka uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic — your biometric data, calendar, journal, and profile are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your briefing and chat responses. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
• Oura — we access your Oura data via their official API with your explicit authorisation.
• Google — we access your Google account and calendar via OAuth with your explicit authorisation.
• Vercel — Virka is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure.
• Redis (Vercel KV) — your data is stored in a Redis database hosted by Vercel.
• Resend — used to send transactional emails such as waitlist confirmation and approval notifications.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in an encrypted Redis database. Oura and Google tokens are stored as secure, HTTP-only cookies and in the database. We do not store raw biometric data beyond what is needed for the current session and briefing generation. Journal entries and profile data are retained until you delete your account.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of all data Virka holds about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Revoke Oura or Google access at any time through those platforms
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

Children

Virka is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Virka evolves. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of Virka after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
